Naidu : The Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Mr Chandrababu Naidu emphasised the need to chalk out a long term approach to make groundwater resource a reliable and sustainable source for supplementing water supply needs. Speaking at a one-day conference on Rain Water Harvesting and Water Recycling Project at Hyderabad on Monday, the chief minister called on the government & non-government agencies (NGOs) and academic institutions to launch strategies adopting traditional techniques of artificial recharge to replenish groundwater resources, "The benefits from the cost-effective techniques will over come costs in the long run," he said.
