With the population of humans and livestock rising steadily, forests in Rajasthan are facing a threat of total extinction. According to sources in the Forest department, animal population growth rate is very high in the State and fodder is in short supply by nearly 40 per cent already. The situation is likely to aggravate in the immediate future.
