The retail sale of extra low sulphur diesel (0.05) through select outlets will start in the Capital and the National Capital region from next month. Confirming that the presence of toxic gases in air in Delhi has come down significantly as a result of measures taken by the Government, the Union Minister of State for Environment and Forest, Mr. Babu Lal Marandi said in a written answer in Rajya Sabha that arrangements for supply of extra low sulphur diesel for new private (Non-commercial) vehicles conforming to Bharat Stage-II akin to Euro-II norms to be registered in the NCR from April 1, 2000.
