LPG bartered for firewood

The forest officials of Bandipur in Karnataka have hit upon a novel conservation plan by eliminating use of firewood by villagers residing along the periphery of the national park. They are encouraged to go in for LPG. The villagers there used to collect firewood by felling trees in the national park, resulting in the destruction of habitat of animals and birds.
