All is set for yet another investors' summit in the State after the stupendous success of Global Investors Summit at Indore- Muslim Saleem Industrial peace is prevailing in Madhya Pradesh due to efforts undertaken by the state government headed by Shivraj Singh Chouhan and stray incidents of kidnapping of industrialists have no bearing on the industrial security in the state, according to official sources, reports SMS News and Feature agency. The way Madhya Pradesh police have rescued cement trader Nand Kishore Goyal's nine-year-old son Utkarsh safely from kidnappers has added yet another feather to state police's cap. Utkarsh Goyal was abducted on January 29 by five culprits when he was playing on a ground in Govindpuri area of Morar near Gwalior. Since then the abductors were bargaining with Utkarsh's parents for ransom while the cops were clandestinely monitoring their telephone conversation. Ultimately, the Hastinapur police pounced upon the kidnappers and rescued the boy unharmed even though they had exchanged fire with the kidnappers before rescuing Utkarsh. All the five kidnappers have been arrested. Commenting on the alleged kidnapping and subsequent release of a Mumbai-based businessman and his wife while they were travelling in a car on the Agra-Mumbai national highway near Indore on Monday, sources denied that any ransom was paid for their release. Sources said that most of the media reports about kidnapping of industrialist are exaggerated and these stray incidents cannot be compared with what is happening in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. A section of press had also raised much hue and cry over the kidnapping of Indore businessman Ashwini Bhatt last month when he was returning after taking part in buyers-sellers' meet at Gwalior. The abduction drama continued for about a week after which the industrialist and his driver were safely rescued from the hideout of the abductors. Sources said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had been constantly monitoring both the major cases of Ashwini Bhatt and Utkarsh Goyal and had instructed the top police brass to ensure their safe rescue. The reason behind delay in the release of Ashwini and Utkarsh was that the police wanted to be sure that no harm is done to the abducted persons. In the meantime, Industry Minister Jayant Malaiya has said that complete protection is being provided to industries and industrialists in the state. Meanwhile, all is set for yet another investors' summit in Madhya Pradesh after the stupendous success of Global Investors Summit at Indore. This time Global Investors Summit would be held on February 15 and 16 at Jabalpur. It may be mentioned here that last four years have been the period of better change in the industrial scenario whereas 2007 has been the year of tremendous achievements as far as investments are concerned. This year Rs 2,25,206-crore proposals of investments to set up industrial units in MP have been received and many of them have seen the light of the day. During the Indore Global Investors Summit alone 102 MoUs worth Rs 1,20,541 were signed while before that summit 131 industrial proposals to the tune of Rs 1,04,665 had been received. Thus the year 2007 proved to be harbinger of prosperity and progress of MP as during this short span of time a whopping Rs 2,25,206-crore investment proposals were received by the state. And behind the success story of this achievement has been CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan's tireless and effective efforts. He had embarked on his efforts right from the beginning of the year. On January 9, 2007 at New Delhi, the Chief Minister attended Indian NRIs Day and invited non-resident Indians to come to Khajuraho for deliberations on industrial investments in Madhya Pradesh. The effort yielded instant results as 18 MoUs and 9 EoIs were signed during 'Destination MP' which was held between January l5 and 17 at Khajuraho.
