Lok Janshakti Party's (LJP) senior national vice president Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Thursday announced that a mahapanchayat will be held at Jantar Mantar on March 9, to protest against the Central Government's move to displace nearly 50,000 people of Tuglaqabad village in south Delhi. People from 365 villages of the Capital are expected to participate in the mahapanchayat. Talking to the reporters, Mr Bidhuri said over 2,000 acres of land belonging to the residents of Tuglaqabad was transferred to the Archaelogical Survey of India (ASI) by the Delhi Government in 1995. They will also resort to indefinite dharna at Jantar Mantar to press their demand.
