Although the Maharashtra Government is fighting against time to meet the Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project completion deadline of June 30, 1998 set by the World Bank. The State Government is hopeful of completing the project by that time. The WB is financing this ambitious Rs. 504.24 crore project.
