Maharashtra forestry project gets extension

The World Bank has agreed to extend the Maharashtra Forestry project by 18 more months. The Rs. 180-crore, integrated eco-development project was to have ended on September 30. The extension follows discussions held by the Union Minister for Environment and Forests, Mr. Suresh Prabhu, with the Vice-President of the World Bank recently.
