Chief Minister of Karnataka S. M. Krishna has assured that four tmc of water will be released from the Kalammavaadi river into the Krishna by Maharashtra within a week. This was stated by former Union Minster Siddunyame Gowda. The Chief Minister had instructed the irrigation department secretary to get two tmc of water released immediately and two tmc released in February.
