The Malaysian government is eyeing several inter-city highway projects in India. Discussions with the Indian government have reportedly reached the final stage while a detailed project report is awaited in the next three months. Malaysian minister for works, Dato Seri Vellu, told that all these road projects will be executed on BOT basis and Construction & Industrial Development Board of Malaysia is working on a total solution package for India. "The project will involve investments to the tune of $10 billion from Malaysian entities while the Indian government will have to put in another $3-4 billion," he added.
