There is little evidence of the elections taking place all over the country in Sisai and its adjoining villages in Gumla and Rancho districts, where people are instead grappling with the menace of wild elephants. They not only destroy their standing crops frequently but also kill people from time to time. On Tuesday one farmer and at least two cows were trampled to death by marauding elephants in Badewatoli village of Sisai block in Gumla.
