Giant volcanoes taller than the tallest mountain on earth and canyons more deeper have been scanned by the Mars Global Surveyor mission orbiting the planet, scientists reported on Thursday. In the first publication of their findings in the journal Science, they described the red planet's weird and unexpected formations and talked about evidence that water may have once flowed there.
