A convention called by N. N. Krishnadas, MP, to protest against the use of the Malampuzha irrigation project water for the proposed Palakkad Industrial Water Supply Scheme has decided to organise mass agitation against the use of Malampuzha water for industrial purposes as there is already a shortage of water for irrigation and drinking purposes. Mr. Krishnadas had said that the meeting would provide an opportunity to all political parties, mass organisations and farmers to take a united stand to save the Malampuzha water.
