Dhaka's city's air pollution has aggravated and it will further worsen next winter due to dry weather. An inter-ministerial meeting, chaired by Environment Minister Begum Sajeda Chowdhury, observed that the government agencies, including the Department of Environment, had failed to pull in rein of mounting air pollution. The meeting decided to start a massive drive against the black smoke emitting vehicles from this month.
