The new master plan for Delhi suggests creation of a single planning authority for various civic bodies in the Capital, setting up of an ultra modern airport and simplification of land use plans. The approach paper of "Master Plan for Delhi - 2021" (MPD-2021) made by the Delhi Development Authority suggests setting up of a Delhi Metropolitan Development Authority as a "single planning" body within Delhi municipal area.
