The MCD will finally begin quality testing of all its products including roads, medicines and even products acquired by the Education department. The MCD's standing committee recently passed Commissioner Rakesh Mehta's resolve to introduce quality testing through Shriram Institute. For the first time, the Corporation will also be looking at testing road restoration under the Dig and Restore scheme. The Central Vigilance Commission recommended to MCD that the Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory be engaged to select a quality testing institute.
