The Chairman of the MCD Standing Committee, Mr Jai Kishan Sharma, said that de-silting of drains under the civic body and the PWD in trans-Yamuna areas would be carried out with better coordination. He said that a decision had been taken to hand over drains under the PWD to the MCD for de-silting and cleanliness. He added that this had been done to ensure that the loopholes caused due to lack of coordination between the two bodies should be plugged so as to ensure better outfall of sewerage
