With help from the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), the MCD has begun restoring the Mughal Garden of Qudsia Bagh behind ISBT and near the Metro station. While the MCD will fund and implement the project, INTACH will provide the original layout of the garden and the historical inputs. The garden was built in 1748 AD by Qudsia Begum, wife of Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah Alam. Spread on Jamuna Marg over 33 acres, it is one of the few Mughal gardens that still exist in the Capital.
