Even as the Government and judiciary has been making efforts to expedite the cleaning of Yamuna, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) stinks of yet another scam under the Yamuna Action Plan. The MCD vigilance department has ordered an inquiry into the procurement of 150 mobile toilet vans (MTV) "without any assessment of revenue, requirement and utility". Instead of transferring these MTVs to the intending buyer - Sulabh International, MCD has left those vans, each worth lakhs of rupees, to get rusted at its zonal grounds.
