Medical camps for endosulfan victims

The fourth phase of medical camps to enrol endosulfan victims will be held in select localities in the district from December 17 to 21.
Thirty-eight doctors from 11 departments of five medical colleges will examine patients. As many as 70 experts drawn under the National Rural Health Mission will be present, District Collector K.N. Satheesh told presspersons here on Thursday.
The camps will be held at the Government Higher Secondary School, Cheemeni on December 17; Government Higher Secondary School, Peradala, at Badiyaduka village on December 18; the Community Health Centre at Panathady on December 19; BARAHSS at Bovikkanam on December 20; and KMH English Medium School at Manikoth on December 21.
Arrangements have been made to issue identity cards to those chosen to attend special camps at primary health centres.
The patients should carry the cards while coming for the camp.
The patients have been told to reach the camp venue and get their names registered before 2 p.m. As many as 1,192 applicants were selected during the previous medical camp.
