The newly constituted second National Commission on the Scheduled Areas and the Scheduled Tribes held its first meeting on Monday to discuss plans and strategies to carry out its task and present report covering the terms of reference at the earliest. Headed by Dilip Singh Bhuria, the Commission constituted by the Government on July 18 has been given one year to look into the problems of the tribal areas and make recommendations to help resolve them.
