A meeting convened to discuss the preparedness of monsoon and to adopt preventive measures in future and action to be taken before the onset of monsoon was held at South Goa Collectorate building in Margao. Senior officials attended the meeting that was chaired by Vanancio Furtado, Dy Collector. The meeting included preparing action plans by the concerned departments to deal with disasters and natural calamities, rehabilitation of affected people caused due to flooding, setting up of automatic complaint monitoring systems, and other matters concerning calamities. The PHC to deal with epidemic that may cause due to natural calamities and furnishing information to the Sout Goa Collectorate Office by the concerned departments. The next meeting to review the' preparedness of monsoon will be held on April 8, says a press release.
