After a long wait, Delhi's very own Metro Rail will make it inaugural run on Dec 24 amid apprehensions about the financial viability of the 8.3 km first section, between Shahdara and Tis Hazari, being commissioned. Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee will inaugurate the section. Commercial operations on the section are set to begin on December 25.
