The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has made detailed studies of the geological profile of the underground section betwen Delhi University and Central Secretariat, before construction commences from this year. A detailed Environment Impact Assessment has been done by the NEERI, Nagpur, in the Khyber Pass area, where a train depot is coming up. The study also analysed the social impact of the project on adjoining population.
