The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has ambitious plans to make the Metro Smart Cards, at present being used to travel in Metro Coaches, into a serious rival of debt cards by allowing customers to use it to buy various other products and services. The DMRC claims the number of facilities to be introduced near the stations have been sorted out, considering the needs of commuters.
