More cities may soon have their own rail metros once the urban development ministry works out modalities of financing the Metro Rail Projects (MRP) for them. With Banglore and Mumbai among the front runners for a metro rail, the ministry recently got a feasibility study done to find out which other cities can also have MRPs.
