Mid-day meal kitchen opened

JAIPUR: A mid-day meal kitchen, which will serve to some 40,000 children in 314 government primary and upper primary schools of Chomu and Govindgarh blocks in Jaipur district was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday. The centralized mid-day meal kitchen, the result of a tripartite agreement among the Mahindra Group, the Government of Rajasthan and the Naandi Foundation, guarantees 700 calories along with 20 grams of protein for school going children from Class I to VIII. The State Government has provided land for the kitchen while the Mahindra Group bore the cost for the construction and the state of the art infrastructure and machinery.
