Himachal Pradesh Forest Minister Thakur Roop Singh addressing a rural gathering of forest beneficiaries at Syanj village in Gohar valley of Nachan forest Division today said 364 Forest development Committees had been constituted in the Mandi district to ensure the active involvement of people in all forest activities right from plantation to preservation. He lauded the role of these committees in frustrating the recent attempts of timber smuggling in Karsog and Nachan subdivisions and added that he would recommend awards for those who helped in nabbing smugglers.
