Coal mines suddenly flooded, killing 35 persons and leaving one other missing and presumed dead in southwestern China's Guangxi region, according to a report. The flood occurred on October 25 at two adjoining mines near the Guangxi city of Heshan, the official newspaper, "Yangcheng Evening News", reported on Tuesday. It said the mine, which had stopped production since March 11 due to the rains, resumed operations without official approved on October 13.
