Mitsubishi Motors Corp. said that it would work with Volvo AB of Sweden to develop low-pollution diesel engines for trucks. Mitsubishi, the fourth largest Japanese automaker, and Volvo, the world's second largest truckmaker, will set up a team next week to develop engines that comply with stricter European emissions regulations that are expected to take effect between 2005 and 2010, said Katsuhiko Kawasoe, president of Mitsubishi.
