MOPE bent on banning tempos

Nepal's Ministry of Population and Environment (MOPE) said that the government was well prepared to ban diesel-operated Vikram tempos plying inside the Kathmandu Valley from Saturday, Sept 18. From the same day, it said, tractors (for agricultural purpose), power-trailers, trucks, lorries, carrying construction materials, garbage trucks and other heavy vehicles will be banned from plying inside the Ring Road area from 8 a.m. in the morning to 7 p.m. in the evening.
