More funds for rural projects

The Delhi government will be fund ing all those proposals that have got in principle approval from the rural development board and will be executed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). This decision was taken during a meeting convened by Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, which was attended by the Delhi development minister and chairman of the rural development board, Mr Raj Kumar Chauhan. Mr Chauhan said that in the current year, the MCD has been given Rs 40 crores against which proposals amounting to approximately Rs 101 crores were sanctioned by the board.
