Parking problem at Red Fort may soon be a thing of the past. The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has begun implementing a Union tourism ministry-sponsored project to create a surface parking lot near the Ring Road-Chandni Chowk link road on the fort side. The project would cost Rs 1.48 crore. Once ready in a couple of months, the place would accommodate about 250 vehicles and solve one of the biggest problems that tourists face at this site.
