Out of the 12.01 lakh water connections given in the Capital, more than half went "unmeasured" last year due to unmetered supply or defective meters. Indicting the Delhi Water Supply and Sewage Disposal Undertaking for its functioning, the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General has pointed out that on an average 82.63 per cent municipal meters and 61.18 private meters for bulk supply were defective.
