WWF-India, in collaboration with the Indian Army, is organising a series of environment education programme in some selected Army Schools, Sainik Schools and Military Schools across India. As a part of this initiative under Green Governance programme, WWF-India's Assam and Arunachal Pradesh State offices in association with the Army School, Shillong organised a two-day environment education programme at Army School 101, Shillong for teachers and students recently. The main objective of the workshop was to increase the knowledge on environment to higher level of understanding and to enhance co-operation between WWF and Indian Army. Eminent resource persons from different fields attended the workshop.
