The Madhya Pradesh Government has said it would endeavor to improve degraded forests spread over 89,000 hectare area this year. In addition, productivity in bamboo forests and fodder production would be improved and with five major rivers originating from the State, soil and water conservation works would be taken up in the catchment areas of major river systems, an official release said.
