Several hundred tribals from various parts of Madhya pradesh yesterday held a rally and formed a human-chair in Bhopal to protest against the ongoing Rs 800-crore World Bank-aided Madhya Pradesh Forestry Project. The protesters also collectively observed their "mock death" for 10 minutes to highlight how the project, being pushed by the World Bank in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Government, has allegedly been devastating the lives of hundreds of thousands of tribals living in forest areas across the state.
