Panchayat, Rural Development and Social Justice Minister Gopal Bhargava said that Mukhya Mantri Gramin Awas Mission will start from November 1, foundation day of the state. The houses will be constructed for the poor persons. He said that till the end of the year 2013, the Mission will construct five lakh houses for the poor. Bhargava said this while reviewing Panchayat, Rural Development and Social Justice Department's works of Sagar division at Sagar today. He warned that strict action will be taken against the officers who do not produce results. The Panchayat and Rural Development Minister said that out of the 70 pledges of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the special session of Assembly, one was Chief Minister's Gramin Awas Mission. This mission will start from November 1 this year. From that day construction of 50 houses in each district will begin. 2500 houses will be constructed for poor by 31 March 2011. Bhargava said that divisional level meetings have been started to solve all problems faced at the grounds level while implementing the projects. He said that the officers should inform him about the problems faced at the ground level while implementing the projects and how to solve them so that he will be able to assist them at the state level. On the other hand the officers should complete the government projects at the earliest. The Panchayat and Rural Development Minister said that all the district collectors and chief executive officers should pay special attention to complete the welfare schemes of the government on priority basis so that the expected results are achieved. He has made it clear that the data of beneficiaries of national old age and social security pension should be upgraded. For this purpose online feeding of all schemes is necessary. For not updating the data by feeding, the concerned C E O will be sent back. He said that the media officer of the department should work fast for publicizing about the schemes being implemented by the department and to ensure proper publicity.
