Maruti Udyog Ltd is planning a three-pronged strategy to deal with the Supreme Court order which rejected its plea to extend the deadline for complying with euro emission norms. According to MUL sources, in the initial stages the company will modify the existing carburettor engines into down-draft or return-carburettor engines which are Euro-I compliant in order to get registration in Delhi and the National Capital Region.
