The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority proposes to commision a series of documentation studies of the city's heritage precincts, including the Bandra Village, Dadar's Khodadab Circle-Five Gardens area, Ballard Estate, Khotachiwadi, Gamdevi and Opera House. The studies, whose time-frame is six to 18 months, will be conducted by local architects in tandem with architecture students with a view to framing a special set of conservation guidelines and development rules for each of the precincts.
