Mymensingh reserve forest timbers being pilfered

The government Reserved Forest of Mymensingh district with Gazari and other areas was once famous as one of the thickest forests of this region in Bangladesh is going to lose the past glory. Six thanas of Mymensingh district had 38,701 acres of forest during the post liberation period. At present forest resources are found in only 25 per cent areas covering of about 10,000 acres of land.
