KOLLAM: The Physics Department of Fathima Mata National College here will organise a seminar on Nanoscience and Technology from March 23 to 25. Seminar convener Prof E.P. Wilson said that the objective of the seminar was to provide an opportunity for the delegates to learn, exchange and interact with new ideas in the areas of synthesis of nanomaterials and their characterisations. Calicut University former VC Prof G.K. Sasidharan will inaugurate the seminar at a function to be presided over by Physics Department head Dr M. Mary Stella. College principal Sr Dr Soosamma Kavumburath will release the proceedings of the seminar on the occasion. Institute of Science (London) fellow Prof V.K. Vaidyan will deliver the keynote address. Scientists from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, National Institute of Technology, Trichy, CUSAT, Amrita Institute of Nanosciences and Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, will present papers on various topics.
