The Indian Institute of Technology campus has been attracting several migratory bird species this year, but a move to remove dead trees on the campus could affect the nesting site. A meeting convened in Chennai recently by the authorities, has approved the decision to remove dry trees on the campus, say sources residing in the complex. The arrival of a large number of birds, settled at the oxidation pond in the southeast sector of the campus, this year has enthused the nature lovers.
