Gujjars, whose population in Jammu and kashmir has crossed 12 lakhs, have conveyed their resentment to the National Conference for having nominated a prominent community leader to the Rajya Sabha seat which fell vacant after Prof Saifuddin Soz's election to the Lok Sabha. At a meeting of prominent Gujjar leaders, including MLAs and MLC s here today concern was expressed over the continued "stepmotherly" treatment being meted out by the National Conference Government.
