Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesman and general secretary Surendra Furtado has called upon the decision-makers to learn the lessons of the summer of 2003 and chalk out an extensive re-greening programme by planting sapplings, which would be a secure of raising the ground water table. Stating that the delayed monsoon this year has served as an eye-opener to the paucity of water in Goa state. Furtado called for sensible re-greening of Goa.
