Delhi government has pledged in its budget for the 2002-03 financial year that it would contribute Rs 250 crore to the National Capital Region (NCR) Development Fund during the Tenth Five year Plan. For quite some time now, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has been speaking of integrated development plans for the entire NCR and this is a step in that direction.
