NCR opens heritage chapter, footnote on sites yet to be excavated

The NCR Planning Board has introduced a chapter on heritage conservation, in an attempt to increase tourism in the National Capital Region and to provide an impetus to economic growth. The Board will look at the conservation of 1,627 monuments in the NCR and has also identified 26 conservation areas. The NCR Board has proposed that a Town and Country Planning Legislation be brought in for heritage, to protect areas around monuments.
