Industrially backward north-eastern region is poised to accomplish a new revolution in the cane and bamboo sector. The Cane and Bamboo Technology Centre (CBTC), with active cooperation from the North Eastern Development Finance Cooperation Limited (NEDFi) has already organized three workshops in Shillong, Tripura and Guwahati to train up the indigenous skilled bamboo and cane workers to market their products in the international market.
