Participants at a discussion on 'Save the Kali River' organised by the Parisara Samrakshana Kendra (PSK) in Bangalore, voiced concern over the construction of dams across the river and the alleged sand mining on the banks of the river.They noted that the river is dying a slow death and the government had not ensured proper resettlement.The participants at the discussion suggested that dams need to function differently.
