Forest Minister Prakash Phadte has stressed the need for tree plantation on the available land for the balanced ecology. He said, Goa, through a tiny State has 38 per cent forest cover and that people are nature lovers and food. Mr. Phadte was after launching the 522nd Vanamahotsava programme in the distinguished presence of Deputy Speaker, Ulhas Asnodkar and Chairperson of Sanjay School Advisory Committee, Vijayadevi Rane, in the campus of Sanjay School at Porvorim, on Wednesday.
